360o Adjustable Universal Gooseneck Smartphone Stand Desktop Bed Lazy Bracket For Smartphone iPad Feature: 1.Multiple usage: holds anything from Universal Smartphones to iPad. Clamp can adjust to fit…
High quality – slightly heavier than expected but you know it’s built to last for years of heavy use. Nice textured rubber film across the table’s front plate, with slightly thicker rubber where the tablet rests in the bottom lip – no exposed metal for accidental scuffs. The wrist pad was the biggest surprise of all – super sturdy and a jelly/memory foam combo that feels great – I’m going to start using it during regular keyboard/mouse use at work. Unlike a lot of accessories, I think the added cost of this thing is far and away worth it.
I bought this Standzfree Floor Stand for iPad, iPad 2 and iPad 3 and it came in today. It is quite sturdy and allows you to move the iPad around anyway you need it. Plus you can easily rotate it in portrait or landscape mode.

DTTO Flexible Back Slim Case for 2017 iPad 9.7. Here is another interesting design that brings the functionality of the tri-fold stand case to a higher level. The case features a back shell that is made of a soft and flexible thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

I originally posted a 1 star review as the bean bag didn’t adjust and it also does not hold my iPad securely. I have to say that this company has provided amazing customer service. I was contacted immediately and was told that some of their bean bags are over filled which makes them not very adjustable. I was sent a new one right away and the new one definitely adjusts to a variety of angles as I expected it to. Your device will just rest in the slot so if you are looking for something that will hang on to your device, this isn’t the bean bag for you. But if you are looking for something that will allow you to use your device hands free in any number of angles, this is a great choice. And props to this company for the excellent customer service.
Also like its larger sibling, PadPillow Lite may be used in two different configurations, depending on application, body position and preference. Folded together, the stand provides a steeper viewing angle for the device, but the stand can also be laid flat out for a lower viewing angle. In the folded together position, and with the smaller model, two embedded magnets sewn into the cover fabric to secure the unit in the closed (upright) configuration, which is a major feature improvement over the full size PadPillow I have. The magnets are visible in the open mode photo below.
It has universal design that fits every iPad, Nexus, e-Readers and many more. What make it stands out even more from other tablet holders is its unique ability to hold laptops with keyboards, as shown in the picture below:
Having a thick pillow on your lap could get toasty pretty quickly. Having to take periodic breaks from the heat defeats the purpose of having an iPad lap stand in the first place. It might be nice and cozy in the winter, but no one wants a pillow on their lap during a summer heat wave.
I found that I preferred to use the tablift in my living room when sitting in a big, comfy chair with arms. I could spread out the four legs so that they were supported by the chair’s arms, and that placed the iPad height closer to my face. It was nice to be able to read email, annotate a deposition, review and highlight documents, etc. from the comfort of that chair without having to worry about my arm getting tired holding up my iPad for a long time.
The GoGo Pillow only costs $10 and might seem like a gimmick at first. It is actually going to change the way you use your iPad. The GoGo Pillow allows you to mount your iPad on a corner flap. Think of it as a pillow with a built-in iPad. You won’t be able to lay your head on the pillow but it makes holding your iPad on your lap a lot more comfortable. Besides, you can remove your iPad from the pillow and use it as a travel pillow. This is a must-have item if you often travel with your iPad!
In our tests, the Frē kept water out, which is clearly the most important quality for a waterproof case. (If it keeps water out, it will also keep out dust, dirt, and sand.) The Frē is also the thinnest and lightest waterproof model we tested, so you can use this case as your everyday protector if you need to, and inserting your phone and removing it is relatively easy. And unlike with some other cases, the Frē doesn’t make the iPhone’s buttons more difficult to press, and the case only minimally affects the touchscreen sensitivity. LifeProof offers the case in a number of colors, helping to broaden its appeal.
After doing a bunch of research (I found the most helpful were video reviews, some on you tube, some elsewhere). But I decided on this case. It was half the price of the dismally disappointing “smart case”. I got it through Amazon and am very happy. The magnets are strong enough to keep the cover closed when the iPad is turned over (something the smart case failed to do), the on/off works great. The case is good quality and is a great stand for use in bed or on the sofa, at the desk, anywhere. Versatile, solid, very happy with this purchase.
Erin — any update here? I am trying to decide how to get the best bang for the buck, 150 for the apple smart with additional 70 for the sleeve seems too steep. Logitech Create would seem to give you both for $130 total, but unclear if it’s as good. Quick thoughts?
The wooden stand has two different positions it can lock into and will easily accommodate any iPad in portrait or landscape orientation, so you can always be as comfortable as possible when you using it.
Omoton stand is a superior version of INI for iPad Pro. It is crafted from aluminum and base is made of rubber which builds it stable and trustworthy. Weightless mount helps you to carry easily. Only difference between Omoton and INI is, Omoton can only rotate upto 270 degree. But INI is more blendable. This makes you more comfortable to view. Last of all, this is more user friendly as well.
Why so many features to hold such a small device like a tablet? Your tablet is a serious device that brings the world to your fingertips. But, you can’t experience its full potential while it’s glued your lap, stuck resting on a table top, or swaying on a cheap stand. LEVO floats your tablet or eReader at the perfect height and angle while you sit, recline, or lie in bed. You simply get cozy, then swing, yaw, and tilt your device into perfect position. Place your device horizontal, upside-down, or anywhere in-between.
The Smart Keyboard’s keys are very similar to those on Apple’s current MacBook and MacBook Pro models and the company’s Magic Keyboard. (According to Apple, they also use the same key switches, but with different mechanisms for providing resistance.) The shallow design of these key switches means that the keys have very little travel—something I’ve criticized Apple’s current laptops for—but I actually like typing on the the Smart Keyboard a bit more than on the MacBook. That’s because instead of thin, flat, plastic keycaps, the Smart Keyboard’s keys have been, according to Apple, “laser ablated into a single sheet of durable custom-woven fabric.” This construction gives the keys a slightly concave top and decent tactile feedback, resulting in an improvement over the MacBook and Magic Keyboard when it comes to the feel of typing, in my opinion. The keys aren’t as nice as those on Logitech’s Create and Slim Combo and Zagg’s Slim Book, but they’re good enough that I prefer the Smart Keyboard over those keyboard cases because of its other advantages.

Reminiscent of an artist’s easel, the IBRA stand folds into a tiny package for travel, is light weight and fairly adjustable for multiple devices and positions. With rubber in all the right places, this stand is a little more complicated than some of the other offers here today, but a solid stand with a good amount of versatility for your needs. Check out the IBRA stand on Amazon for $9.75.

As I’ve mentioned, the iPad is not a computer designed for desk work. It sits flat when laid on a table unless you add a case that offers angled support, or you find a stand that adequately fits your iPad in a work environment. There are quite a few iPad stands out there, but I find most of them designed for very specific circumstances — there are very few “desk-first” stands.
Dixie’s Window Hardcover Stand Case for iPad 9.7. This beautiful case is made of cotton and offers a functionality of a folio case. It means you can fold it back to form a stand. The iPad is held in place within the plastic case that’s firmly attached to the back of the case.
If you’re not a smartphone-photography fanatic but you want a tripod toy to play with on occasion, the universal smartphone mount and flexible tripod leg combo from ChargerCity is a fine option. It isn’t as stable or supportive with Plus-size iPhones, and it may tip over at extreme angles, but at half the price of the Joby legs and Square Jellyfish mount together, it’s fine for experimenting.
I purchased Zagg’s Slim Book Ultra-Slim Tablet Keyboard and Detachable Case and have now returned my second one requesting a full refund. Both case broke in the same place…on the PLASTIC hinge. I had each case for about 3 months before each broke…in the same place. Apparently the design is not as effective as it seems to be with daily use. I would NOT recommend any of this design of cases to any iPad user (though I would recommend ZAGG’s customer service; they have been helpful).

i-BLASON’s iPad Air Armorbox is not really a stand. It’s a case that features the peculiar kick-stand. Going this way, however, we have a lot of case stands for the iPad Air and even the typical smartcover can be used as a stand for the iPad Air. The i-BLASON Armorbox, however, features a hybrid design that includes three layers of protection: a screen protector, a polycarbonate hardshell and a silicone outershell. Unlike Otterbox defenders though, iBLASON is light. And much less military-grade.
