Star Micronics’ TSP650IIcloudPRNT makes the perfect solution for the growing trend of online ordering for take-out and delivery food service. The TSP650IIcloudPRNT thermal printer retrieves and prints orders from any online ordering service integrating Star’s communication protocol. CloudPRNT will work with the online ordering service to store and create print jobs, and communicate status with the printer.
Choose an impact printer – Even the cleanest, most well-run kitchen is full of landmines that can damage electronics, especially printers. Heat, spills, particles and steam can harm a restaurant kitchen printer and cause expensive downtime while the printer is repaired or replaced.

Receipt printer worked wonderfully with my Square checkout terminal and drawer that I also ordered off Amazon. I love that it’s thermal so you don’t have to purchase ink. It was easy to load the paper and easy to unload. All the items you need for the printer are here on Amazon so I could have it delivered directly to my workplace.
I already had the square reader and just was tired of it being in other spots or being charged. The dock was a great addition to the square stand and the printer. Very easy to use. Just attach to the square stand and put the reader in. The dock has weight to it so i dont have to worry about it falling especially in the spot i put it. Definitely reccomend
I’ve installed dozens of these square POS systems. They work fine on their own, just be sure to get the proper size/version to match your ipad, the connectors differ. To expand the system you pair it with a printer, cash drawer, scanner, and chip reader.
The TSP100ECO, the world’s first ECO POS printer, further extends the legacy that is the TSP100 futurePRNT. The TSP100ECO supports Star’s commitment to being ecologically responsible, while allowing Star to continue to provide a high-speed, software enriched, economical choice for users.
On the front-right-bottom of the printer, red and yellow lights should slowly blink and when a single green light turns on under the Power label and icon, indicating that the Kitchen Printer is communicating with the network
The SP700 features an optional “kitchen buzzer”. When a print job is sent to the SP700, the buzzer will sound off. This is beneficial for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent to them. The SP700 designed-in rain channels away liquids from penetrating the printer. Its elevated base also brings additional protection and reliability when used in busy, restaurant-type environments.
If you use ‘Square’ as your credit card acceptance service, the Square Stand takes you to the next level of professionalism. It is especially useful for your store location, or if you set up a kiosk for the day at a local event. The device itself is quite heavy in order to keep the unit stable while you use it and when the client signs it.
Easy install, n everything works like a champ.. thought trying to get an answer about stuff, like where to buy em locally is very difficult through customer service.. i had to mail order it through amazon.. took a few days to get here.. needed it right away though.. So, star customer service was not helpful at all.
The Square stand is very durable and to my surprise heavier than it looks. The swivel mount is built into the bottom of the device and conceals the power cord. This cord is connected to a 3 port USB module that will allow users to connect up to three separate POS devices in addition to connections with wireless LAN POS devices like receipt and label printers. Although not official, the Square stand can hold an iPad Air 2 pretty perfectly. I would suggest placing a small foam dot or so, just so that it is seamless to the stands edges. All in all, this is a great start-up POS system and highly customizable to any operation. I would recommend this product to any small business.
Update: After several months this printer is still working strong and still haven’t had a problem with it. I noticed a couple of people complain about receiving the wrong printer- well the reason they received the wrong printer is because they ordered the wrong printer. The title plainly states the model is TSP143U, USB. TSP143U is the USB model, hence the U. If you need the ethernet model you’ll need one of the TSP143L series models.
Featuring speeds of 100 mm/sec and compatibility with iOS®, Android™ and Windows® mobile devices, the ultra‑compact and light weight Mobilink printers provide the reliability and efficiency you need to move customers in and out — fast.
Your restaurant kitchen is a busy work environment where there isn’t a large margin for error—one mistake means spending time and resources remaking dishes, which could cause a lengthy kitchen backup if it happens several times during a busy shift.

We use this for service/retail Point of Sale. This unit is easy to set up, it is very reliable, and it is quiet and fast so your customers don’t have to stand and wait for a loud printer to take 30 seconds to print a few lines!
@girlfridaypaper @Fresh1 – As an add on, chip cards and contactless payments cannot be accepted in offline mode. They require an active internet connection (wifi or cellular data). Meaning you’ll need an active internet connection to use the Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader. Collecting payments in offline mode is limited to swiping cards using the magstripe reader (which comes with the Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader). You can find more details here. Hope this helps!
I read this article and it appears me very interesting seriously. It’s a kind of new post I’ve ever met regarding this Restaurant Kitchen Printer. Want to know more interesting features for future from you.
This printer is fast and has useable options. I use it with my iPad and Square credit card reader. You can also use it for POS or other systems or configurations. Using it with Square credit card processor I save paper because I only print the customer copy because all the other transaction data is accessed online. And when I tap print on my iPad it starts and completes the printing in just one second. I saw this printer being used at my local drug store with a different setup and it too works well. Give it a try and I think you’ll be glad you did.
It is what I wanted. I used the chip reader for a while and thought the dock would add convenience for a charger and a one hand operation. One disappointing feature is that the button to press to connect to Bluetooth device is downward when inserted in the doc and I had to pull the piece that locks the reader into the dock then pull the reader to get to the button. It is something that could have been thought out when they design the read or the dock.
When a printer is unable to print it’s a good possibility that either the printer is experiencing a hardware or software related issue. Before testing the software it is always recommended that the printer be tested for hardware issues first.
I’ve been using square for our business for about two years now. The mag strip is certainly much more convenient and faster. I understand accepting chip payment is more secure and requires more time for the payment to process.
I really love the dock. Keeps it charged and ready all day long. Also do not need to press button on comtactless chip reader to pair with phone it eliminates that problem. Also you don’t need square stand to operate this you can do it from your cell phone. Works perfect!
TSP143IIUTSP100ECO TSP100II. The World’s First ECO Dedicated POS Printer. The TSP100ECO, the world’s first ECO POS receipt printer, further extends the legacy that is the TSP100 futurePRNT. Good Used …
After playing around with this some more. It is pretty quick when the phone and reader is kept closed together when the transaction is processing.. this set up cost around 4 dollars. Velcro and cheap phone case. Works perfect.
In addition, the SP700 BTi includes the ability to print receipts or data from a web browser-based application running on a mobile device wirelessly by configuring Star’s WebPRNT Browser. Once configured, the user simply pairs their mobile device to the SP700 BTi, open the application on WebPRNT Browser and prints from the application.
You can identify many common printer problems using the lights on your printer’s control panel. If your printer stops working and the lights are on or flashing, use the following table of panel light patterns to diagnose the problem, then try the recommended solution. If the status of the power light is not shown, it is on or flashing.
You have to have an ethernet printer and a Star Micronics SP742 Ethernet printer and a hub.  A USB printer will not work for a kitchen printer.  There is a different USB customer receipt printer that plugs directly into Stand
The SP700 is a modern, high-speed clamshell impact printer. Built specifically to work in environments where heat and humidity can erode the type of the kitchen order, the SP700 is an ideal solution. If I am at a venue where I have no power access, I still use the dock/charging station because it positions the reader for easy use. I do not put the locking piece on the top of the dock, because I do have to take the reader out & wake it up if it goes too long between uses. The on/off button on the reader is on the bottom; it is covered and unreachable when it is in the dock. That is a bit inconvenient, but if it prolong the battery life I am ok with it. Leaving the locking end off makes the reader easy to remove when necessary.
