If your wait staff is handwriting tickets for the kitchen, you’re asking for trouble. Meal prep workers who can’t read a server’s handwriting have two choices: guess what the ticket says or spend time asking the server, which can create a ripple effect of extra waiting, starting in the kitchen.
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The Square reader is super simple and easy to use. It is an especially good tool for small business owners who want to accept additional forms of payments(such as credit or debit cards) Additionally, the app on the google play store was easy to find and very straightforward. One downside, although somewhat expected are the fees associated with it. For example, 2.75 percent for credit card transactions. Other than that, I recommend this product for it’s simplicity and overall use. 4/5 stars.
Restaurant kitchen printers are an important tool for streamlining kitchen operations. An impact printer that prints quickly and clearly will help staff reduce meal prep times and increase order accuracy. Best of all, a kitchen printer will help everyone earn more money: faster table turns means more tips for wait staff and higher profit margins.
To set up multiple printers just follow the steps above for each printer. The general set up is the same for all devices but check out our Android and iPhone pages for exact instructions for those devices.
I bought this for my office. I’m in private practice for speech language therapy. Some parents want to pay with Apple Pay and everyone else has a chip. The cord is plenty long. I keep the reader in the holder, but I didn’t keep the protective strip at the end. The reader is secure without the strip and with Apple making constant updates, you need to be able to pull the reader out to reset it occasionally. I still have the swiper that attached to my iPhone 7 Plus – I added an adapter to make it work, but this dock is my favorite. Great buy and great for my business.
When a printer is unable to print it’s a good possibility that either the printer is experiencing a hardware or software related issue. Before testing the software it is always recommended that the printer be tested for hardware issues first.
I have been trying to find a way to get a 1099k sent to me. nothing comes up when i go to dashboard. There is no phone #. I have just started working on taxes this week and i can find nothing on computer nor iphone. I have defended square but I am not so sure anymore.

On the negative side, Square offers only limited live customer support to merchants. Active Square users can contact Square by phone from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST, but they will first need to obtain their customer code (see: How to Contact Square). Deactivated users cannot obtain a customer code. This means that their fund holds and other account issues may go unresolved for very long periods of time, leaving deactivated merchants without a solution of any kind during operating hours. This is the most consistent issue cited by Square merchants who have filed public complaints. For merchants lucky enough to avoid fund holds or service issues, Square is a great option. For those who encounter problems, there is hardly ever a swift and effective resolution.
Doesn’t work with everything that has bluetooth! I had bought some cheap Android tablets that claimed to have Bluetooth 4.1, and I couldn’t get these to connect to them. For all of the “higher end” Android and Apple tablets I have, they connected just fine. Yes, it does go to sleep if it doesn’t communicate with the tablet after some time, but reconnecting on all of my different devices proved as simple as pushing the button (once I was back in square), and waiting about 10 seconds for it to reconnect – which it did without a hitch every single time. I bought 4 of these, and all 4 of them work on Android (higher end) and Apple without an issue.
Internal power supply – Whether you’re operating a spacious kitchen, small kiosk or food truck, choose a restaurant kitchen printer with an internal power supply. An internal power supply eliminates the need for snaking power cords around the kitchen so printers can be placed at different work stations. If space is at a premium in your eatery, an internal power supply can free up several inches of valuable real estate.
Perform a test print. Most Epson printers have a self-test function. Refer to your manual for instructions on how to do this. Usually, it is just a matter of depressing one button while pushing power.
Press the  paper button to eject the jammed paper. If the error does not clear, open the printer cover and remove all of the paper inside, including any torn pieces. Then, reload the paper in the sheet feeder and press the  paper button to resume printing.
Epson has reinvented the kitchen printer with its innovative and efficient system that brings its customers easy, flexible and scalable KDS controller solutions available to fit any quick service businesses.
As of this update, the Better Business Bureau is reporting an “A+” rating for Square despite 1,681 complaints filed in the last 36 months. This complaint total is up from the company’s total at the time of our last update (1,443), which may indicate that Square’s BBB complaint total could increase further. The number is up from 812 complaints as of our January 2014 update and 603 complaints as of our July 2013 update, and has skyrocketed from just a few dozen complaints since we first published this review in April of 2011. Surprisingly, the BBB has also raised Square’s grade from a “B+” in July of 2013 to an “A+” despite the rising complaint volume.

I own a restaurant and a beauty salon, Square (one flat fee of 2.75%) had solved a lot of problems for me. No more paper rolls or running out of paper during a transaction, no more chasing down a pen for customers to sign the receipt, no more worrying about missing a tip or doing batching/settlement at the end of day, and no more keeping rolls of receipts for potential customer dispute/charge back (by the way the ink on receipt fades after a week anyway, you won’t be able to read anything after that so keeping receipts is completely useless). Prior to Square I used Central Payment, they charged an all in fee around 2.78% (including statement fee, PCI compliant fee, anti fraud fee, and a host of other funny fees…). Then I switched to Elavon, which is promoted by Costco, the rate was pretty much the same around 2.75% for everything. So frustrated, I decided to do my own research instead of trying something new every time a credit card rep stops by my place to pitch “a lower/better rate”.

How is it aquare advertises that they are the best? My first experience with square is turning into a nughtmare.. before i registered i was geeting all these great emails how great the ap[ps are customer service money availabilities,, and get emails every 30 minues but once i go thru the process to register, add my information and try tio read the small terms and Conditions which seem to go on and on,, and then when im putting in my charges the system doesnt give any flags or markers stopong the user by notifying verification is required before moving forward,, it just lets you enter evrything, then the next morning io get an email saying a rep has been trying to contact you to verify your account so that your money isnt held up.. and the then you go back to your dash board and then you ask for contract, orders, and so fourth. yet you dont provide any disclaimers on the program screen.. then you try to down load docs and ask more questions then you need to know.. and then.. it becomes difficult get help. Then you go to help. and your made to fill out send an email,, then you send response saying Thank you in Bold Black letters?? is that some type of red flag, for us poor smucks who just gave you our hard work money?? because after that.. you send emails.. asking for assitance . and then you send blank emails.. with subjet line thank you.. and then.. nothing happens??
Merchants can buy Square Register outright for $999 or paid for in 24 monthly installments of $49. The company does not state on its website whether merchants can stop making payments if they return the Square Register before their payment plan is concluded, so merchants should assume that any payment plan they agree to will constitute a purchase of the machine and will need to be paid in full. Transactions processed through Square Register are cheaper than normal Square transactions, coming in at 2.5% plus $0.10 as opposed to Square’s usual 2.75%. Square offers a number of optional hardware add-ons like a cash drawer ($109), a barcode scanner ($119), and a receipt printer ($229). The reduced processing fee may justify the cost of paying for an expensive piece of proprietary hardware, but merchants will need to make this judgment based on their individual needs.

Pay just 2.75% per swipe, dip, or tap for Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, with no monthly fees and no long-term commitments. See deposits in your account as soon as the next business day.
The new Square Contactless and Chip Reader is included so you can accept every way your customers want to pay. Place the reader in the dock, connect the dock to the USB hub, and you’re ready for business. Accept magstripe cards, chip cards, and NFC payments like Apple Pay.
Thanks square for making my first ever business cc transaction a bad one.. so bad.. that i will have suffer your sadistic game. and wait.. but never again will ever use Square.. and im sure that the best way to advertise is word of mouth.. and guess what??
Absolutely worst customer support, if you can even say they have customer support. As mentioned in the article, you have to have a customer code to get access to a human, otherwise the automated system will disconnect the call. If you don’t have it written down, and you have a login problem, forget getting any phone support. They will also conveniently disable your customer code in certain situations so they do not have to talk with you. I’ve had 2 significant issues with them over the last two years that left the company in a bind. I’ve also had funds sit for over 4 weeks waiting for deposit with real no explanation on why. Happy to no longer be relying on them for credit card services. Do not recommend.
There are new features that are available for the high performance and then you must set some kind of the process to generate the printing quality for that you must contact the Canon Driver Support for the guidance.
Of the complaint total, 880 are regarding problems with service, 447 with billing and collection disputes, 53 with delivery problems, 275 with advertising and sales issues, and 26 due to a guarantee or warranty issue. The BBB has also added a note stating that it has received many complaints regarding Square’s fund withholding procedure. Square has responded by quoting its Terms of Use policies and referring to the help section of its website. The company has successfully resolved 226 complaints, while the remaining 1,445 either were resolved to the dissatisfaction of the merchant or did not receive a final assessment from the merchant.

I got the AGP model they sell here on Amazon for about $10 more a few years back for my first Square Stand setup. I saw this was the drawer that Square now recommends on their site, and the price on Amazon was even better than the first drawer I bought, so I figured what the heck, I’ll just get this one. The drawer seems to be built well, HOWEVER the inside of the drawer, which they don’t show you a picture of in the description is ridiculous. It has 8 slots for coins, so that means each slot is half the size of a normal coin slot. It makes absolutely no sense who in their right mind would design that. I’ve been in business for 20 years and have had many cash registers and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything so crazy. Also the clamps that hold the bills in place are made of metal, which you’d think would be better since they’d be more sturdy than all the plastic clamps you’ve used in registers for the last 30 years, but the design of them is strange and makes it a pain to pull them up. I wouldn’t recommend this drawer if you’ve ever used another cash register before in your lifetime because it will just annoy you.
Kitchen printers need to meet the demanding requirements of a busy restaurant without sacrificing performance. Impact printers make some of the best kitchen units due to their heat resistance, multi-color printing, buzzer options, and auto-cutters. Keep the kitchen working without mistakes or slow downs with our wide selection printers.
I read this article and it appears me very interesting seriously. It’s a kind of new post I’ve ever met regarding this Restaurant Kitchen Printer. Want to know more interesting features for future from you.
Wall Mount Bracket, 58mm Paper Guide, 6ft Interface Cable, 6ft Power Cable, Power Switch Cover, Easy Setup Guide, Installation CD with Drivers and futurePRNT Receipt Design Softwarem Auto Reverse Text Output Software (Power Cable not included with PUSB versions)
The Square stand is very durable and to my surprise heavier than it looks. The swivel mount is built into the bottom of the device and conceals the power cord. This cord is connected to a 3 port USB module that will allow users to connect up to three separate POS devices in addition to connections with wireless LAN POS devices like receipt and label printers. Although not official, the Square stand can hold an iPad Air 2 pretty perfectly. I would suggest placing a small foam dot or so, just so that it is seamless to the stands edges. All in all, this is a great start-up POS system and highly customizable to any operation. I would recommend this product to any small business.
Turn the printer off, hold down the feed button and turn the printer back on, continue to hold the feed button. The printer will print out two slips of paper showing the configuration of the printer. The second printout is a network configuration sheet showing the ip address of the printer.
I ordered this printer as a kitchen printer for my restaurant. I received it on time and in perfect condition. Setting it up was even easier than I thought it would be. I plugged it in and put in the ribbon and paper. Then I connected it to my WiFi router with an Ethernet cable. My square register found it right away and it works perfectly.

Clover POS accessories can be mixed and matched to perfectly serve your specific business needs. And thanks to Clover’s simplicity, all accessories work together, right out of the box.
Sheer well away from this bunch! They will freeze your customer’s payments to you in hostage of questionable verification processes. I don’t understand as to why they don’t notify of process changes when it is implemented, not when there is a transaction taking place. They froze us of $1000 order from our customer requesting further documents they’ve never requested before…Better options out there! You’ve been warned!
Epson’s industry-leading, whole-unit repair and return process is designed for both in-warranty and out-of-warranty Epson POS products.
