Printer Output Built specifically to work in environments where heat and humidity can erode the type on the kitchen order, the SP700 is an ideal solution. This fast, two-color printer offers crisp, easy to read type for quick viewing, clamshell design for easy paper loading and an embedded power supply for space efficiency.
Choose an impact printer – Even the cleanest, most well-run kitchen is full of landmines that can damage electronics, especially printers. Heat, spills, particles and steam can harm a restaurant kitchen printer and cause expensive downtime while the printer is repaired or replaced.
Star TSP100 Printer (USB Port / AutoCutter / Dark Gray). This printer has a Receipt Paper AutoCutter built in and is Compatible with the Square Stand Hardware USB hub! Each of our printers has been fu…
These kitchen printers are impact printers that use ribbon (SPE-7060). The only versions that works with Clover are the ethernet model and wifi model. For most setups ethernet is recommended over wifi as it is more reliable, easier to setup, and more cost effective. Using an ethernet interface allows the printer to be placed anywhere in your restaurant/cafeteria/deli/business as long as the ethernet connection is on the same network as the clover station. The way that it is configured on the station is that in the app settings the app will look for a Star Micronics SP700 printer when it finds one on the network you can select it and it will print all kitchen orders to that printer. The clover station has no way of knowing that a USB/Parallel/Serial printer is available, it has to be ethernet.
With a swappable interface card, you will be able to effortlessly interchange the connection type without purchasing a new POS printer. Whether you need an Ethernet, USB, or other sort of connection, you’ll be able to easily swap out the card and upgrade your PR-IM impact receipt printer.
@girlfridaypaper @Fresh1 – As an add on, chip cards and contactless payments cannot be accepted in offline mode. They require an active internet connection (wifi or cellular data). Meaning you’ll need an active internet connection to use the Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader. Collecting payments in offline mode is limited to swiping cards using the magstripe reader (which comes with the Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader). You can find more details here. Hope this helps!
I’ve been using square for our business for about two years now. The mag strip is certainly much more convenient and faster. I understand accepting chip payment is more secure and requires more time for the payment to process.
This printer is fast and has useable options. I use it with my iPad and Square credit card reader. You can also use it for POS or other systems or configurations. Using it with Square credit card processor I save paper because I only print the customer copy because all the other transaction data is accessed online. And when I tap print on my iPad it starts and completes the printing in just one second. I saw this printer being used at my local drug store with a different setup and it too works well. Give it a try and I think you’ll be glad you did.

The CD3-1616 Traditional Cash Drawer is a full-sized cash drawer for robust storage and high volume cash flow. With an optional under the counter mounting bracket, retail and hospitality establishments can save on precious counter space. Optimal in any POS environment, the CD3 Traditional Cash Drawers will enhance not only cash operations, but also the appearance of your POS terminal.
Note: If the Epson port service is running (see above) then ports may be locked and may not be accessible using the direct connection method. You should turn off the Windows print spooler service when running these tests (see note).
If you have a Square Stand, in addition to the printers above, you can use certain USB interface receipt printers. The following receipt printers are only compatible with the Square Stand, not the Square card reader:
If you’re considering a POS system to make it more convenient for your business to manage inventory and prices, you shouldn’t look any further. For the price, you can set up a fantastic FREE POS software with all the accessories such as the stand, receipt printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, and EMV/chip reader for one upfront cost and not have to pay for your POS like some of these not so reputable POS sellers try to market to you. Even if you don’t use Square to process your cards (which is what Square truly wants you to do), the setup for a POS system with an iPad is second to none. The software gets constant updates, works flawlessly, and is FREE. I have no regrets about switching to the Square ecosystem for running my business and selling inventory. I occasionally use their card processing, but even if I didn’t, I’d still use the Square POS system and software. No regret here!
You’ll be notified of declined transactions in your Activity screen once you’ve regained an internet connection, but this would likely be after your customer has left. Square is unable to know whether that is the case until you have internet access so that’s the risk in using offline mode. It should definitely be limited to when it’s absolutely necessary.
Beware. Despite the Q&A talking about using this cash drawer via USB with a Square Stand, it can NOT be used this way. This cash drawer has only an ethernet (?) connection allowing it to be connected with a Square Stand indirectly through a compatible printer.
Register is a bit hard to get to know but other than that its very useful because of the different discounts and Reports.. I give it 3.5 out of 5.. it should be more customizable but oh well… ohh and by the way Royal does not have any knowledgable representatives..

Clear paper jams. Be careful during this operation. Refer to the manual for special instructions and always power down your printer and unplug it first. Use tweezers and be gentle-don’t use force. Clear out even the tiniest bits of paper you find.
I read this article and it appears me very interesting seriously. It’s a kind of new post I’ve ever met regarding this Restaurant Kitchen Printer. Want to know more interesting features for future from you.

Star Micronics’ TSP650IIcloudPRNT makes the perfect solution for the growing trend of online ordering for take-out and delivery food service. The TSP650IIcloudPRNT thermal printer retrieves and prints orders from any online ordering service integrating Star’s communication protocol. CloudPRNT will work with the online ordering service to store and create print jobs, and communicate status with the printer.
You have to have an ethernet printer and a Star Micronics SP742 Ethernet printer and a hub.  A USB printer will not work for a kitchen printer.  There is a different USB customer receipt printer that plugs directly into Stand

The Kitchen Buzzer connects directly the RJ11 port on the back of the printer. The buzzer sounds when a print job is sent to the TSP100. This is beneficial for high noise environments like kitchens to alert cooks that orders have been sent.
Wow! All features in this article are very helpful I always trouble with internet supply but now I have read these instructions so I hope My problems will solve easily and keep posting like this article.
If you are into the Square line of products as a business owner, you have to get this NOW if you don’t have it. I am a banker by trade, and I cannot stress the importance of being able to accept the EMV/chip cards as a business owner. If you think it’s just some gimmick by banks or acquirers and processors to charge you more per swipe, you’re only partly correct. If you haven’t migrated to the ability to accept EMV/chip cards, you are at risk for being liable for fraudulent purchases made with an EMV/chip card if you use EMV/chip ICC fallback methods of swiping the card instead of using the chip. Save yourself the risk of eating chargebacks due to fraudulent charges and put this in your store, yesterday! If you go the Square route of processing cards, be sure to get the dock to accompany this device. My only gripe is that Square didn’t package this together the dock in the first place. Other than that, this device works flawlessly to accept EMV/chip cards and contactless payments.
Featuring speeds of 100 mm/sec and compatibility with iOS®, Android™ and Windows® mobile devices, the ultra‑compact and light weight Mobilink printers provide the reliability and efficiency you need to move customers in and out — fast.

That sounds strange—the Contactless and Chip Reader won’t be able to pair with your mobile device without a strong Wifi or data connection. In addition, you should have received an error message within the app if the payment wasn’t successful. 😕
Purpose: Epson receipt printer troubleshooting tests printer operation when connected to the computer. Two test modes, include a test using installed Windows drivers and a direct connection test that connects to the printer directly through the connection in use.
Obtain a replacement black (T0321), cyan (T0422), magenta (T0423), or yellow (T0424) ink cartridge. To determine which cartridge is nearly empty, check the ink level using EPSON Status Monitor 3 (Windows) or EPSON StatusMonitor (Macintosh).

I ordered this printer as a kitchen printer for my restaurant. I received it on time and in perfect condition. Setting it up was even easier than I thought it would be. I plugged it in and put in the ribbon and paper. Then I connected it to my WiFi router with an Ethernet cable. My square register found it right away and it works perfectly.
You can identify many common printer problems using the lights on your printer’s control panel. If your printer stops working and the lights are on or flashing, use the following table of panel light patterns to diagnose the problem, then try the recommended solution. If the status of the power light is not shown, it is on or flashing.
Epson Customer Care Centers (ECCCs), our nationwide network of Authorized Service Providers, are available to offer timely and cost-effective support solutions for Epson POS products. This includes in-warranty and out-of-warranty product support, as well as equipment diagnostics and spare parts. Simply contact the nearest ECCC in your area.
Once the printer is set as default, click Start / Run and type notepad and press enter. In notepad, type a test message and click File and Print. If the printer also prints successfully from this program but you are still unable to print from the other program, it is likely that that program has an issue and not your printer.
Perform a test print. Most Epson printers have a self-test function. Refer to your manual for instructions on how to do this. Usually, it is just a matter of depressing one button while pushing power.
Wall Mountable   Need more counter space? Create more room by mounting the printer to the wall. The futurePRNT Configuration Utility allows for Text Reversal so the receipt is printed to face the user.
