Epson TM-U220 The Epson TM-U220 impact printer has been a mainstay in kitchen printing and dry cleaners for many years. The printer uses a ribbon to transfer ink to paper, making it more resistant to smears and discoloration from heat and humidity. Available with a variety of interfaces and cutting methods, the TM-U220 is a solid investment.
Beware. Despite the Q&A talking about using this cash drawer via USB with a Square Stand, it can NOT be used this way. This cash drawer has only an ethernet (?) connection allowing it to be connected with a Square Stand indirectly through a compatible printer.
I really love the dock. Keeps it charged and ready all day long. Also do not need to press button on comtactless chip reader to pair with phone it eliminates that problem. Also you don’t need square stand to operate this you can do it from your cell phone. Works perfect!
If the Ping Test fails then double check the local IP address of the computer as well as the IP address of the printer. Certain firewalls can block the connection. The printer could also have the ping reply disabled (see Network card settings).
Internal power supply – Whether you’re operating a spacious kitchen, small kiosk or food truck, choose a restaurant kitchen printer with an internal power supply. An internal power supply eliminates the need for snaking power cords around the kitchen so printers can be placed at different work stations. If space is at a premium in your eatery, an internal power supply can free up several inches of valuable real estate.
Frozen yogurt shops and other merchants who sell their wares by weight can speed up checkout with the customized Clover weight scale. This scale supports up to 20lbs, switches easily between grams and ounces, and automatically passes weight information into Clover for a quick and accurate checkout process.
The “4” in the model number references the auto-cutter, an auto-cutter will partially cut the paper after each print job. For kitchen printing you will want an auto-cutter over a tear bar as this will keep each order separated and make it easier to hang up the ticket over the line.
For anyone who has an iPad that isn’t compatible with the Square Stand, I just want to mention that you could use another tablet stand like the Heckler Windfall Stand or the Heckler @Rest Stand! Hope that’s useful!
With resistance to the most brutal environments, APG drawers feature sturdy steel frames powder coated in cloud white or black to resist scratches and other external abuse. Industrial grade steel ball bearing slides on the drawer won’t wear like silicon wheels and promote silky smooth opening and closing every time. The heavy duty latch mechanism is rated for over 4 million operations, allowing you to open the drawer 200 times a day, every day, for nearly 55 years.
Your restaurant kitchen is a busy work environment where there isn’t a large margin for error—one mistake means spending time and resources remaking dishes, which could cause a lengthy kitchen backup if it happens several times during a busy shift.

The TSP100ECO electronics has been designed with an advanced power management circuitry which allows any user to reduce his printer current consumption by up to 75% compared to standard Star printers making it the most economic printer in its class. Developed with smart paper management features, the TSP100ECO is designed to minimize the environmental impact of point of sale printing.
Does the job just fine, although they really should just ship it with a USB wall outlet. Multiple tries of trying to power this AP from the printer were never successful. I’ve had no difficulty with it using the following startup method (assuming you’ve configure the AP to connect to your wifi network): plug the device into a standalone source of power (I just used a USB phone charger, since it’s powered via micro USB); wait a minute or so, then power on the printer.
Drivers Available Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows® XP 32 Bit, Vista 32/64 Bit, Windows 7 32/64 Bit, Server 2008 32/64 Bit, XP Embedded, POSReady2009, OPOS™, JavaPOS™, USB Vendor Clss, CUPS, Mac, Mac OS X, Linux™, StarPRNT SDK with support for iOS and Android
Check the status. For LCD screens, this is pretty clear. A connected printer reads “Ready,” “Connected” or “Online.” Other printers will usually have a solid green light when functioning properly. Refer to the manual if you receive an error message.
APG’s Stratis tablet holder is designed for mobile and tablet point of sale applications. The Stratis enables an iPad to seamlessly slide over to the customer facing side for signature approvals, while giving the cashier a firm base to work from during the transaction process. A magnetic connection between the Stratis holder and a cash drawer holds the tablet firmly in place. Available in black or white. $125.95 Black
This printer is fast and has useable options. I use it with my iPad and Square credit card reader. You can also use it for POS or other systems or configurations. Using it with Square credit card processor I save paper because I only print the customer copy because all the other transaction data is accessed online. And when I tap print on my iPad it starts and completes the printing in just one second. I saw this printer being used at my local drug store with a different setup and it too works well. Give it a try and I think you’ll be glad you did.
You have to have an ethernet printer and a Star Micronics SP742 Ethernet printer and a hub. A USB printer will not work for a kitchen printer. There is a different USB customer receipt printer that plugs directly into Stand
Doesn’t work with everything that has bluetooth! I had bought some cheap Android tablets that claimed to have Bluetooth 4.1, and I couldn’t get these to connect to them. For all of the “higher end” Android and Apple tablets I have, they connected just fine. Yes, it does go to sleep if it doesn’t communicate with the tablet after some time, but reconnecting on all of my different devices proved as simple as pushing the button (once I was back in square), and waiting about 10 seconds for it to reconnect – which it did without a hitch every single time. I bought 4 of these, and all 4 of them work on Android (higher end) and Apple without an issue.

Add extra security for your customers to enter their PINs safely for debit purchases. The PIN shield fits securely on the Clover Mini, used only during PIN entry. Simply remove after PIN is entered and the customer completes the transaction.
We used to use a standard receipt paper and decided that for the small cost difference it was worth trying a more environmentally safe option. So far the receipts have been just as good as the older stock.
The product was simple and straight to the point. I was able to easily figure out how to use the device without any prior experience. Transactions were easy, fast and made the start to.my small business the kick that it needed to push more sales with more options to pay. I love how easy it is to carry along and keep with me in my bag if I wanted to. So glad to have this device !

If you use ‘Square’ as your credit card acceptance service, the Square Stand takes you to the next level of professionalism. It is especially useful for your store location, or if you set up a kiosk for the day at a local event. The device itself is quite heavy in order to keep the unit stable while you use it and when the client signs it.
A barcode scanner helps you speed up checkout lines and manage your inventory with ease. The Clover Mobile has a built-in scanner, so you don’t need to purchase a scanner if you use Mobile. Virtually any 1D or 2D barcode can be captured — including the typical barcodes that are printed on paper labels; electronic barcodes displayed on the screen of a mobile phone, tablet or computer that allows retailers to easily process loyalty cards, mobile coupons and more; and the high density (HD) barcodes commonly used in specialty retail and electronic component manufacturing. An optional stand enables automatic switching between handheld and hands-free modes. The Clover-customized version enables easy plug-and-play setup.
I got the AGP model they sell here on Amazon for about $10 more a few years back for my first Square Stand setup. I saw this was the drawer that Square now recommends on their site, and the price on Amazon was even better than the first drawer I bought, so I figured what the heck, I’ll just get this one. The drawer seems to be built well, HOWEVER the inside of the drawer, which they don’t show you a picture of in the description is ridiculous. It has 8 slots for coins, so that means each slot is half the size of a normal coin slot. It makes absolutely no sense who in their right mind would design that. I’ve been in business for 20 years and have had many cash registers and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything so crazy. Also the clamps that hold the bills in place are made of metal, which you’d think would be better since they’d be more sturdy than all the plastic clamps you’ve used in registers for the last 30 years, but the design of them is strange and makes it a pain to pull them up. I wouldn’t recommend this drawer if you’ve ever used another cash register before in your lifetime because it will just annoy you.
The link to the printer posted previously is correct, assuming you are running your Square system on a LAN (local area network) and will be using an Ethernet printer. If you are using a Square Stand, then you will need a USB cable and a really long USB cable. I’ve purchased the printer for less with knowledgeable help here.
If the page prints successfully, get back into the printers window, right-click the printer and ensure that there is a check next to Set as default. Newer versions of Windows will also show a check next to the printer icon once it has been set as the default printer.
You must use the correct printer cable to connect the printer to the computer. If printer passes self test, the settings are correct and verified, then check to see the cable is correct. More on connecting a parallel interface.

The Square Contactless and chip reader is a great product for those who run businesses and need something quick and easy to charge their clients with. The experience is super smooth and easy, works 100% of the time and takes up just about a few inches of space. I like the fact that it`s easy to use and visually appealing rather than those old credit card processing machines. I have enjoyed using this product and I will continue to do so until something better happens to be invented. The only gripe I have about this product is the fact they they charge you a percentage of your overall total sale price as a fee. I should also mention that I received a free sample of the Square product in exchange for my honest review.
A label maker allows you to easily and quickly create printed labels for your products. The Brother QL-710W Label Printer is capable of printing up to 93 labels per minute, so you won’t waste time setting up your inventory. This wireless label maker allows you to create custom labels for price stickers, barcodes, address labels, or even postage. This works perfectly with the “Easy Labels” app!
I’ve been using square for our business for about two years now. The mag strip is certainly much more convenient and faster. I understand accepting chip payment is more secure and requires more time for the payment to process.

The FD-40 allows merchants using the Clover Station to easily accept all payment types. The Clover station only allows for signature-based sales as an “out of the box” feature, and you have the option of either integrating with the FD-40 PinPad or a Clover Mini to allow for PIN debit or EBT sales. The FD-40 PinPad is customer-facing, so your customers will never need to hand their card to the server. Here are the main features:
The keys are deceptive. I was thinking that it would open with keys and with the receipt printer. But the keys are for ornament only. It only opens manually with a little switch underneath, which is useless since I have a monitor sitting on top of the register, which means I cant manually open the register if my POS system does not allow for manual opening.
Receipt Printer Featuring major brands including, Epson, Star, and POS-X, we have a receipt printer ideally suited for your needs. From impact kitchen printers to high end thermal printers, we have it all.
These kitchen printers are impact printers that use ribbon (SPE-7060). The only versions that works with Clover are the ethernet model and wifi model. For most setups ethernet is recommended over wifi as it is more reliable, easier to setup, and more cost effective. Using an ethernet interface allows the printer to be placed anywhere in your restaurant/cafeteria/deli/business as long as the ethernet connection is on the same network as the clover station. The way that it is configured on the station is that in the app settings the app will look for a Star Micronics SP700 printer when it finds one on the network you can select it and it will print all kitchen orders to that printer. The clover station has no way of knowing that a USB/Parallel/Serial printer is available, it has to be ethernet.
I bought the square stand, for my old iPad, but have since had to buy a new iPad. Although, it does not fit the stand it still works in the stand. I have wedged a piece of paper, (until I remember to go buy putty) under the bottom left corner, which keeps it in place. Not perfect, but it works. I tried to include a photo but it doesn’t seem to be an option. If anyone would like me to send a photo of what that looks like just email me.

The Star SP700 series of printers is the most commonly used with iOS and Android POS Software for Restaurants. This impact printer is used to print out kitchen tickets. Please check with your software/app provider to verify compatibility.
Star Micronics TSP100Receipt Printer is the first All-in-One receipt printer on the market today!. TSP143LAN Receipt Printer is provided with all standard operating system drivers (Windows, Linux and Mac) and specialty drivers such as OPOS and JPOS. Star has also included a number of embedded simple utilities that will enhance Retail or Hospitality CRM in POS applications and therefore make the entire experience simple. You must use the correct cable to connect the printer to the computer. The most common is a null modem cable, many systems use a plastic adapter that connects with an Ethernet type cable (this remains a serial connection, not an Ethernet connection). If printer passes self test, the settings are correct and verified, then check to see the cable is correct. More on connecting a serial interface.
Elevate your POS system’s aesthetic through the elimination of unsightly wires with the PR-IM thermal impact receipt printer’s internal power supply. The reduction of wires at the POS also ensures that the likelihood of a staff member tripping over cables and cords and unplugging the POS is reduced.
Frozen yogurt shops and other merchants who sell their wares by weight can speed up checkout with our integrated weight scale. This scale supports up to 20lbs, switches easily between grams and ounces, and automatically passes weight information into Clover for a quick and accurate checkout process.
Have used these at a lot of Arts & Crafts fairs. They work absolutely great! Even on shows with a few hundred other merchants nearby I have never had to wait more than a few seconds to get a good connection, which is a far cry from the several minute waits I often had to wait with terminals that relied on local wifi networks. In every case Square One transferred my money to my account by the next working day morning, gotta like that! Battery life is excellent, good for at least 40 cards between charges, but do be certain to keep a USB charger in your kit!
