Yes…we agree it’s ridiculously overpriced at $80, but there’s nothing like Apple’s Silicone Case for the iPad Pro. At least not yet. It’s one of the most pleasing to use and makes holding the iPad Pro more enjoyable by offering plenty of smooth, rubbery grip without adding bulk. Although it’s a very minimal case, the Silicone Case does surround the front of the iPad with a raised lip to protect the glass.
I’ve tested both apps for reviews, of course, and use Astropad now and again to draw, but I usually turn on Wi-Fi tethering and draw from my office couch. Having an iPad as a Mac aide could be nice, but I had no good desk setup for it — and didn’t want to just set up my 10.5-inch iPad Pro in a case.

That “durable custom-woven also makes the Smart Keyboard and its keys water-, crumb-, and gunk-resistant, which I’ve found to be especially useful. You can safely use the Smart Keyboard on the kitchen counter, at a coffee shop, or anywhere else you might accidentally spill liquids or drop crumbs on it. Overall, the Smart Keyboard seems much more durable than the other models I’ve tested.
In addition, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro’s larger footprint means that it can accommodate a nearly full-size keyboard, most models made for the 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro models use smaller-than-normal keys and cramped layouts that make typing inferior to the experience you’ll get with a full-size keyboard. Even worse, many 10-5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro keyboards put standard keys in nonstandard locations or overlay their functions on other keys (requiring you to press fn to access the overlays), which makes typing frustrating, especially for touch typists. Some models even eliminate particular keys altogether.
The open design also allows easy access to all ports: headphone, charging, volume, orientation lock (soon to become a useless mute button). If you’re just going to mount an iPad and no books, you don’t need to install any of the book holding components.
Once you get the right viewing angle, the tightening knob will prevent slipping or loss of tilt even with larger tablets. While other headrest tablet mounts limit the range of sizes they support, the iSKYS Headrest Tablet Car Mount’s adjustable bracket arms can accommodate Tablet devices from 7″ to 10.2″ including iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Air, Samsung Galaxy & many other Tablets and eReaders.
A Touch ID-friendly built-in screen protector and plugs for all the ports finish the look, while ensuring dirt, sand and rain have no easy route in. What’s more, an included clip-on stand for hands-free use makes your iPad Pro ready for whatever nature, or you, can throw at it.
Inside Gift iPad Pro 12.9 2017 Leather Sleeve. It’s out favorite leather sleeve we’ve found so far. It’s also available for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Both sizes are by default designed to fit the iPad and the keyboard case.
If you’re looking for an even more affordable option to play around with, Amir’s 3-in-1 Clip-on Cell Phone Camera Lens Kit is a solid choice, with wide-angle, fish-eye, and macro lenses. The darkening and softening around the frame of the image tend to be more pronounced, but it’s a fair trade-off for the price if you’re just jazzing up your Facebook posts. The Ztylus Switch 6 is another great budget choice for iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus.
Next, you fold the left half over the area where the panels will be, and sew that down on the top and bottom edges. The stand is a hollow pocket in shape at the moment– we’re constructing a big pocket in the middle of the stand, where the masonite endoskeleton will reside.
If you almost always want an iPad keyboard with you, and if you don’t mind carrying the added bulk, an iPad keyboard case is the way to go. It combines a (usually somewhat cramped) Bluetooth keyboard with a protective case, letting you work laptop-style wherever you go. You usually give up the better typing experience of a stand-alone iPad keyboard and the lighter weight of an unencumbered iPad, but you gain convenience and (usually) good protection.

This Tablet Mount will hold practically any tablet to any standard microphone stand, at any angle! iPad, tablet, phone, microphone stand, microphone etc. not included. The stand mount can be attached directly to a standard threaded mic adapter, or via the included L-bracket.
You should buy a case for your iPad Pro. Yep, we know how good-looking these premium and powerful tablets are, but things like gravity and a pool of water unfortunately won’t spare them from destruction.
It’s as scratch resistant as anything else we tested, it’s crystal clear, and fingerprints wipe right off. We saw no issues with clarity or brightness, and we quickly got used to the protector being on the phone. The touchscreen’s responsiveness wasn’t affected in any way, as it still recognized even the slightest brush of a finger, and we had no issues using the phone’s pressure-sensitive 3D Touch feature. We found installation to be easy enough, and we appreciate all the cleaning tools included in the box (the amFilm screen protector came with two sets of wet and dry wipes for cleaning the screen, a small dust-free cloth, six dust-removal stickers that you can also use to apply the protector using the “hinge method,” and a sturdy cardboard bubble remover). And even if you get a speck of dust under the glass on your first attempt, it’s not that big of a deal, because you get two amFilm protectors in each package. -NG
Not everyone is willing to invest $100 or more and buy a dedicated new phone case in pursuit of iPhone photography. For the more casual shooter who’s still looking to up their game, we recommend Olloclip’s Core Lens Set, which features three lens options that easily slide over the top of your smartphone, for the same price as one of the basic Moment lenses. With options for wide-angle, fish-eye, or macro lenses, the Olloclip set is a portable and versatile choice for someone looking to experiment with their iPhone photography. Unlike the Moment lenses, the Olloclip lenses tend to show some slight blurring or other distortion around the edges of the image, but that shouldn’t be a huge problem for most curious hobbyists.
TFY New Universal Car Headrest Mount Holder for Portable DVD Players. TFY Car Headrest Mount Holder for SYLVANIA SDVD9805 Portable DVD Player. SIMPLE, EASY AND UNIVERSAL – Mounts your Tablet to the back of a car headrest.
FWIW, several Wirecutter staffers have been using the TechMatte mount with an iPhone 6/6s Plus in a case for many months. If it’s a thin case, you can place the included metal plate inside the back of the case. If it’s a thicker case, you can adhere the metal plate to the outside of the case. (I personally use the mount with a 6s Plus in Apple’s silicone case. I have the metal plate on the outside of the case, and over the past 6 months or so, the phone has never fallen off the mount.)
5.0 out of 5 starsNone of the above affect the functionality of the stand itself and I myself am not too bothered with the imperfections but if you must have everything perfect, you may need to contact the seller
As with Zagg’s Rugged Book, the magnetic hinge on the company’s Bluetooth Slim Book Ultra-Slim Tablet Keyboard and Detachable Case makes it easy to detach the plastic iPad case, so you can travel light when you don’t need the keyboard or just use the iPad on its own as a tablet. It also gives you a wide range of landscape-orientation angles when typing—as far back as 45 degrees. The Slim Book’s keys aren’t as nice as those on Logitech’s Create, but it’s still a solid keyboard. But with an iPad Pro inside, the Slim Book weighs nearly 4 pounds and, largely because of this weight, feels big and bulky. The heavy base and multi-position hinge make the Slim Book one of the best cases—in terms of stability and screen visibility—for typing on your lap, but in our testing it wasn’t the best for anything else, and it’s fairly expensive.
Tablift holds your tablet for you, safely mounting it on top of bendy legs that stay stable on uneven surfaces. Your tablet fits in the tray and is secured by a bungeed clip. Adjust the legs to whatever height is ideal. It’s that easy—your tablet is elevated to eye level, and you’re ready to relax without holding it awkwardly or cramping your neck.
With this last rank stand, it is mounted on wall to be used in kitchen to watch how to cook on YOUTUBE or other websites and doing other things on iPad Pro, tablets and Microsoft Surface. Besides mounting on the wall, you can remove the mount to transform this stand into table top stand as well. More than that, you can remove iPad Pro or tablets in just a blink of eyes due to its quick release buttons. Thus, you can be a professional cook with this 2-in-1 stand from CTA Digital.
You can choose one of seven available colors. Space Gray is shown above, but you can also check out Rose Gold or Navy Blue. Poetic offers the same design for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. ⇢ Amazon – $16.99.
ParcSlope features a low-profile design and tilts your tablet perfectly to provide perfect viewing angle. It has a top silicone ridge to let you keep Apple Pencil. Made of high-grade aluminum, this tablet stand can last long. The open wedge design improves cooling and airflow.
Most iPad stands offer a limited range of positions which, depending on your setup, can make it difficult to get an ideal view of what’s on the screen. The Spider Monkey from Octa solves those problems in one fell swoop, thanks to the unlimited degrees of freedom offered by its flexible steel frame.
If $100-plus is too rich for your blood, Logitech’s Type+ Protective Case with Integrated Keyboard for iPad Air 2 is a more-affordable alternative. You lose the Qode’s backlit keyboard, multiple prop-up angles, portrait-orientation option, and detachable case, but the Type+ is nevertheless a solid keyboard case. Its folio-style design provides an impressive amount of protection, yet it’s thinner than most all-over-protection competitors. It has very good keys in a good layout, and it provides a nice array of dedicated iOS-special-function keys. And when you don’t need to use the keyboard, a seam in the top cover lets you fold the iPad over the keyboard to hold it tablet-style. Removing your iPad from the Type+ case is also quick and easy. We think the Qode Ultimate Pro is better for serious typists and productivity fiends, but everyone else will likely be satisfied with the Type+.
When selecting this list of iPad stands, we’d taken into account the angle the stand can provide, if it can work on both landscape and portrait orientations, the looks, the durability and how portable the stand is (there is no point to get a stand that can’t be taken where the iPad can go).
We haven’t yet done our usual exhaustive research and testing in this category, but I tested a number of bike mounts at my previous job (as a senior editor at Macworld) and did quite a bit of personal research before buying a mount myself, and my favorite is Annex’s Quad Lock Bike Kit ($70 to $85; $30 for the mount alone if you already have a Quad Lock case). The company sells versions for iPhone models back to the 5/5s/SE.
