Sturdy, good battery, good-looking receipts, very portable and adaptable as it uses Bluetooth. (Oddly, it also has an old-fashioned serial port for hard-wiring, rather than USB.) Unfortunately, at least with Shopify, there is about a 10-second delay from the sale until it starts printing the receipt. It’s at least 5 seconds too long as you awkwardly wait with the customer for their receipt. It uses small paper rolls that don’t last very long and are extremely difficult to find (online only). The other con is that like most receipt printers, it’s quite expensive for what it does.

Bought this strictly to print receipts with the Amazon Local Register iPad App and card reader, as it is the only receipt printer supported at this time by that platform. (Bought it used via an Amazon re-seller; works perfectly. It was easy to set up on the network using the downloadable Windows software. Once set up, my iPad and the Amazon Local Register app found the printer and linked to it easily. I haven’t tried using any of the other options (like printing our logo or printing coupons), but for what I bought it for it works perfectly. It prints extremely fast and clearly. The cutter works well, too. It is nice that it can be mounted to a vertical surface if desired.

Long story short, I bought the reader, got the free app, and tried activating my account. I encountered a system error during activation, and afterwards when I tried to activate again, it would deny me every time. I emailed a customer service rep to try and get some help. Their response?

So when i ordered, it was advertised with the Square thingy + card swipe adapter. It did come with both, in box that looks more like the apple company made it. The products itself looks from apple. Quality seems good, sturdy, I just like the feel I don’t have to worry of grabbing it too hard and break it.

The Square stand is very durable and to my surprise heavier than it looks. The swivel mount is built into the bottom of the device and conceals the power cord. This cord is connected to a 3 port USB module that will allow users to connect up to three separate POS devices in addition to connections with wireless LAN POS devices like receipt and label printers. Although not official, the Square stand can hold an iPad Air 2 pretty perfectly. I would suggest placing a small foam dot or so, just so that it is seamless to the stands edges. All in all, this is a great start-up POS system and highly customizable to any operation. I would recommend this product to any small business.

A completely green design, the SereneLife portable printer comes with a cartridge that loads up enough paper and ink for about 10 prints. Just about enough of both to ensure that it prints the full number of prints as paper loaded into it and so that there is wastage. The whole cartridge gets changed after the ‘ink’ and the paper is exhausted. You don’t have to handle individual ink cartridges. So, there is no smudging or leakage in the fingers and so on.

The app will automatically detect when it happens. Then customer signs on the smartphone. enters email for receipt (or skips). And done, in 3 days or less you got your deposit ready for withdrawal. 100% Compatible with Square POS. We are using square stand with ipad and we simply attached the printers (we have 2 registers) and they showed up right away. No programming or drivers are required. Nice little thermal printer for the price and it’s a name brand, so I hope will last a while.
The usual rule for printers is to find out the printer’s monthly duty cycle (the maximum you can print per month) and its recommended duty cycle, and make sure the recommended duty cycle is more than you plan to print. Unfortunately, this is almost impossible with most dedicated and near-dedicated photo printers.
