@dabiekr1 – The iPad Air 2 has a slimmer form factor, so it’s not an exact fit for the Square Stand (which is very important). This also means that the headphone jack won’t line up exactly when using the security screw. You could also run into connection issues, which is something that could definitely be an annoyance during the business day.

Epson’s comprehensive ExpressCare program gives you the widest selection of service options, so you can pick the most cost-effective way to keep your equipment up and running. No matter what options you select, you’ll get fast service and quick resolution from highly-skilled technicians.
One more critical thing, Square can handle transactions without Internet for up to 72 hrs, after that simply connect it to any Wifi and it will sync & batch all deposits automatically. It is simply not the case with all other terminals if your Internet is sporadic or unstable or lack bandwidth. VRX & Elavon m/c will reject the transaction in the middle of transaction and ask you to reset and cycle thru their initial power up programming, a major headache when there’s a line of impatient customers in front of you trying to pay and get back to work!
* Several configurations of the TM-U220 meet the requirements for ENERGY STAR qualification. As of this update, the Better Business Bureau is reporting an “A+” rating for Square despite 1,681 complaints filed in the last 36 months. This complaint total is up from the company’s total at the time of our last update (1,443), which may indicate that Square’s BBB complaint total could increase further. The number is up from 812 complaints as of our January 2014 update and 603 complaints as of our July 2013 update, and has skyrocketed from just a few dozen complaints since we first published this review in April of 2011. Surprisingly, the BBB has also raised Square’s grade from a “B+” in July of 2013 to an “A+” despite the rising complaint volume.
Sheer well away from this bunch! They will freeze your customer’s payments to you in hostage of questionable verification processes. I don’t understand as to why they don’t notify of process changes when it is implemented, not when there is a transaction taking place. They froze us of $1000 order from our customer requesting further documents they’ve never requested before…Better options out there! You’ve been warned!
The ShippingPass assortment is continually being optimized. Products are added and removed for lots of reasons, but the main reason is to show items that we’re 100% sure we can deliver within the promised timeline.
POOR product, I received it and installed it per manufacturers specs and a light lit up and then died. Could never get it to work again. Returned it for a refund but still had a problem of trying to get wifi to my receipt printer. Ended up using a wifi extender that worked really well with this.

Square Register is a difficult product to rate because it is so inextricably linked with Square’s payment processing service. For merchants of all sizes who are already using Square, the service has the potential to be a useful add-on. For non-Square merchants, though, Square Register comes with the same caveats that Square does. Possible fund holds and limited customer support should be enough to scare many merchants away from Square, and the Register app is not a strong enough point-of-sale system to override these concerns.
The SP700 also supports Star’s cloudPRNT communication protocol that sends print jobs directly to the printer through the cloud. Star’s SP700cloudPRNT is specifically designed for accepting and printing online food orders in the kitchen where heat and humidity can erode the type on the printed order. This fast, two-color printer offers crisp, easy-to-read type for quick viewing, and will automatically print orders as they are placed through an online ordering application.
Select items that are not included in ShippingPass will ship for free but with value shipping. Look for items sold by Walmart.com and marked with FREE shipping. You will also see this noted in checkout.
If you plan to get a printer with your system, then stick with lower cost serial (not usb) based cash drawer and tie it into the printer instead, which also frees up one of the precious and limited usb ports on a square stand. This is important when you need a chip/nfc reader, printer, drawer, and scanner.
In the restaurant POS by Clock Software orders are sent to the kitchen automatically. Depending on your preferences and network infrastructure, you can use kitchen printers or kitchen monitors. Either way, the orders are sent directly to the kitchen where they are prepared, together with any special instructions so good communication and efficiency are ensured.
Internal power supply – Whether you’re operating a spacious kitchen, small kiosk or food truck, choose a restaurant kitchen printer with an internal power supply. An internal power supply eliminates the need for snaking power cords around the kitchen so printers can be placed at different work stations. If space is at a premium in your eatery, an internal power supply can free up several inches of valuable real estate.

The information that you need to diagnose and solve most common problems is provided by the printer’s control panel, the EPSON Status Monitor utility, or by running a printer operation check. Refer to the appropriate section below.
*If you have issues with the printer going offline or one of your pos stations reports an “ip conflict” you may want to use a reserved static ip for the printer. In order to set a static ip go to a browser on the network with your printer type in it’s ip address into the URL and you will go to the printer configuration page. The default username is “root” with password of “public”. If you need help with this step contact POSGuys at 1-855-POS-Guys and our support team can assist you.

You have to have an ethernet printer and a Star Micronics SP742 Ethernet printer and a hub.  A USB printer will not work for a kitchen printer.  There is a different USB customer receipt printer that plugs directly into Stand

Printer Output Built specifically to work in environments where heat and humidity can erode the type on the kitchen order, the SP700 is an ideal solution. I bought this for my office. I’m in private practice for speech language therapy. Some parents want to pay with Apple Pay and everyone else has a chip. The cord is plenty long. I keep the reader in the holder, but I didn’t keep the protective strip at the end. The reader is secure without the strip and with Apple making constant updates, you need to be able to pull the reader out to reset it occasionally. I still have the swiper that attached to my iPhone 7 Plus – I added an adapter to make it work, but this dock is my favorite. Great buy and great for my business.
Epson has reinvented the kitchen printer with its innovative and efficient system that brings its customers easy, flexible and scalable KDS controller solutions available to fit any quick service businesses.
Accept all major credit cards: Swipe cards securely and accurately with the integrated card reader. Process Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express at a small percentage per swipe. You can even use our NFC Reader to accept contactless payments.
Choose an impact printer – Even the cleanest, most well-run kitchen is full of landmines that can damage electronics, especially printers. Heat, spills, particles and steam can harm a restaurant kitchen printer and cause expensive downtime while the printer is repaired or replaced.
I read this article and it appears me very interesting seriously. It’s a kind of new post I’ve ever met regarding this Restaurant Kitchen Printer. Want to know more interesting features for future from you.

Update: After several months this printer is still working strong and still haven’t had a problem with it. I noticed a couple of people complain about receiving the wrong printer- well the reason they received the wrong printer is because they ordered the wrong printer. The title plainly states the model is TSP143U, USB. TSP143U is the USB model, hence the U. If you need the ethernet model you’ll need one of the TSP143L series models.
The TSP100GT receipt printer brings all attributes of the TSP100 including all parts and software being included in one box coupled with a print speed of 43 RPM (250mm/s). Learn more about the TSP100GT here.
Following printer setup, I connected wifi ethernet cable to a TP-LINK 4-port router switcher and connected the kitchen and barista printers via ethernet cable and assigned catagories to each printer.  Works like a charm
For anyone who has an iPad that isn’t compatible with the Square Stand, I just want to mention that you could use another tablet stand like the Heckler Windfall Stand or the Heckler @Rest Stand! Hope that’s useful!
Here are more sites to learn about this.

If the Ping Test fails then double check the local IP address of the computer as well as the IP address of the printer. Certain firewalls can block the connection. The printer could also have the ping reply disabled (see Network card settings).
