Square Receipt Printer Android | Check It Out Today

So overall, should you use Square for Android? We recommend using it as an affordable alternative to the common iPad Square point of sale set up. With a number of Android tablets available for under $100, and a wider variety of compatible hardware, using Square with an Android device has more options, and more affordable options, for you to choose from. The Square app is a bit more limited with Android, you can only search within certain screens and items aren’t automatically added to the order the way they are with iOS, but for small businesses, it’s an easy and relatively cheap way to process transactions.
This latest addition to the TSP100 Series provides a range of new features including a high print speed of 250 mm / second, a guillotine auto cutter (cutter life 2 million cuts) as well as thin paper capability providing benefits not only for the environment but also the user’s operating costs. The cost effective solution includes the convenience of an internal power supply along with a vertical mount kit in the box.

High quality, fast printing now goes mobile. The Star SM-T300i thermal printer is designed to print standard three inch format receipts anywhere. Simply pair it with any Bluetooth SPP mobile device (Apple MFi certified), and print from a web browser based application running on your mobile device. IP54 certified with resistance to dust and splash, the Star SM-T300i thermal printer will withstand any element while going anywhere you go.

Following printer setup, I connected wifi ethernet cable to a TP-LINK 4-port router switcher and connected the kitchen and barista printers via ethernet cable and assigned catagories to each printer.  Works like a charm
The growth in the number and variety of portable printers has also been spurred by the huge number of portable devices—whether laptops, tablets, or smartphones—with which you can view documents or photos. With the skyrocketing popularity of mobile devices have come mobile printers that can handle varied input, including files received over various wireless protocols, from traditional Wi-Fi to peer-to-peer connections such as Wi-Fi Direct that don’t require the use of a Wi-Fi network at all. Some printers, both photo and document models, can print on odd-size paper.
I have a larger business whom I just started invoicing through Square.  Their accounting department needs a printed invoice and then they issue me payment by check.   I sent them a link to the invoice but there isn’t an option to PRINT only and option to PAY. They can go to FILE then PRINT but it prints with the website address at the top and it doesn’t seem professional or legit.  Anyone know how to print something nice through Square?
Have not purchased this printer, but wanted to let people know that this is not the only printer that will work with Square. I have two Star Micronics printers, one Ethernet and one Bluetooth and both work fine with the Square app for iPad. I also have Ethernet based cash drawers that connect through the printers and those works just as well. This probably has the easiest set up, but it is not the only way.
I have to admit that the driver install for this printer kind of threw me for a loop. It can be installed using either POS (Point of Sale) or standard drivers – and I got hung up trying to get the POS drivers installed and configured.
These receipt printers are certified to be comaptible with Square Reader and Square Reader software for iPad, iPhone and Andoid.  Contact us if you have any questions about which printers, cash drawers or other components will work with your Square Reader application.  Get your business or store online today!

Adding to the environmentally friendly design is the TSP100ECO’s cover unit. The cover unit is manufactured with Halogen-Free recycled plastics (White color housing may contain trace amounts of halogen). The packaging each printer is shipped in is also recycled and eco-friendly.
POS printers and accessories allow you to enhance the functionality of your existing point-of-sale hardware. These devices add the ability to display pricing to your customers or create a printed receipt for each transaction. This promotes solid customer service experiences.
I do appreciate your post though and I wanted to let you know that we are working to provide support for more printers and your feedback is welcome! For example, we recently launched support for several Epson printers which can be used with Square on iOS devices (the full list of printers is here).
Having a quick and reliable printer is crucial for any retail and restaurant business. Boasting a print speed of 43 receipts per second, and the guillotine styled auto-cutter, transactions will always end with a brisk print and clean cut. Adding the drop in paper loading and AllReceipts digital receipt app, the TSP100III is a must have for mobile point of sale.
A compact iPad mini enclosure for VESA 100 x 100 mounting kit. Convert your iPad into a compact Kiosk System with fully touchscreen functions! You can also use it as a Tablet POS(Point Of Sale) stand.
This printer is fast. Thermal printers print very fast, and the internals are actually much simpler than the ones at my work. You simply open it up, drop the paper inside (yes, it’s a drop in, which makes it much easier to replace the roll once it has run out) and then feed the paper over the top.
I use this with Square Register on a Samsung Galaxy Note (3 ?). Once it’s set up it plugs right into the USB On The Go adapter, app detects the printer, and I can print my customers their receipt! Very professional looking instead of just a text message or email URL, which many of our customers wouldn’t really know how to use. It seems like a high price to pay for such a small seemingly simple device but so far it appears to be a sturdy, lasting machine. A package of receipt paper lasts a long time. If things fall through it has a high resale value as opposed to some other devices (just check out eBay and Amazon used).
Square systems are primarily compatible with Ethernet or Bluetooth interface printers (depending on the tablet you are using, Android tablets with USB ports and USB On-The-Go or USB Host mode can use USB interface printers). The compatible printers for Square systems are as follows:

I’m not sure why there are so many mixed up reviews and answers to the questions. I have two iPad without a square stand. This easily connected to my cash drawer and WiFi router. BOTH iPads are connected to the receipt printer and BOTH can print at the same time as well as open up my cash drawer. The receipt are thick enough to read and make orders off of and the font size is nice. If you take orders with your iPad but do not have a square stand and need a printer that will connect to multiply iPads this is what you are looking for!!
The fact that the printer is Bluetooth and NFC capable, it is capable of printing directly from your smartphone/tablet. You don’t even need a wireless network to print. Along with the printer, you also get the Polaroid ZIP app for both iOS and Android platforms. Using this app you can make some casual retouching and corrections before selecting the images for print.
Transactions where you swipe a magstripe card or insert a chip card will automatically populate customer names on kitchen tickets if you’ve opted to manually enter text on tickets vs auto assign numbers.
We bought this thermal printer for work. It works well as described, but there are some programs that don’t use the printer, and setting up the printer is less than intuitive/easy for the average user. I had to go into advanced settings and follow advice on forums to get it to function the right way.
There are many 3rd party hardware options that you can use for your business. We do have the POS Kits on the Square Shop, but you can order compatible hardware individually (take a look at examples of a universal stand, compatible cash drawer, and compatible USB printer).

Works flawlessly with the Square POS software. Was discovered instantly, and prints quickly and reliably. The ability to run off batteries is awesome, and i can see the included belt clip being useful, if REALLY geeky.

If I am at a venue where I have no power access, I still use the dock/charging station because it positions the reader for easy use. I do not put the locking piece on the top of the dock, because I do have to take the reader out & wake it up if it goes too long between uses. The on/off button on the reader is on the bottom; it is covered and unreachable when it is in the dock. That is a bit inconvenient, but if it prolong the battery life I am ok with it. Leaving the locking end off makes the reader easy to remove when necessary.

A completely green design, the SereneLife portable printer comes with a cartridge that loads up enough paper and ink for about 10 prints. Just about enough of both to ensure that it prints the full number of prints as paper loaded into it and so that there is wastage. The whole cartridge gets changed after the ‘ink’ and the paper is exhausted. You don’t have to handle individual ink cartridges. So, there is no smudging or leakage in the fingers and so on.
Really solid receipt printer. Less expensive than 90% of the machines in its class, but it holds its own without an issue. Installation was slightly more involved than other reviewers had let on (it helps to know which port you’re connecting this through), but overall it was still pretty simple to get working. Just make sure that you don’t have an old version of the Epson receipt print driver on your computer, as this can cause the installation to fail.
Check the running cost and total cost of ownership if you can. Unfortunately, this may be impossible for near-dedicated photo printers, since there’s currently no widely accepted standard for calculating cost per photo. For dedicated photo printers, however, the cost per photo is typically easy to calculate, because most manufacturers sell print packs with enough ink and paper for a given number of photos.
